Santa 09

So we waited in line to see Santa for a while last night, but it was my fault for not going during the day. We had practiced smiling before getting to Santa, but alas it didn't matter once he got on the big guys lap. But at least he wasn't crying, win/win. He looks 40 feet taller than last year. Its insane how much he's grown.

Halloween

Jones was not very fond of his Dragon costume. Especially the hat. But he was a trooper and actually kept it on the whole time. His nap came right before trick or treat time, so he was a little cranky when he got up and I started putting his costume on. But we went around our circle before we went over to my grandma's house. We trick or treated to a couple houses there and then went back to my grandma's for chili. All in all it wasn't too bad of a day. Hopefully he will be more in to it next year though.

Autumn days

Zoo trip #3

Teri and I had planned for well over a month that we were going to the zoo the day after we got laid off. It almost got postponed, but we went with it anyway. I think the kids had a really good time. They were totally worn out afterward. Abby was asleep practically before we got out of the parking lot. Our friend Kelly from work also met us there with her cute little granddaughter. It was a beautiful day.

Currently Unemployed

My last day with Qwest was October 14th, 2009. My department was laid off, thanks to Qwest "partnering" with Verizon. Our union has filed a grievance and they are still working on it. Fingers crossed. Here are some pictures from my last day and the party we had at Green Street that night.
